Two offset rings, one lit and one holding it. A close-mounted fixture for rooms where a pendant would sit too low — hallways, bedrooms, and the landing at the top of a stair.
The diffuser runs unbroken around the inner ring, so the fitting reads as a band of light rather than a row of points.
